Roma`s Italian in Cary

Food is average. Management are the 'nice to your face-catty behind your back' kinds of people. I worked here a few years ago and got fired for taking bread out of the dumpster to feed to ducks at a park with my nephew, so maybe my bias due to that experience of disgusting and disgraceful human behavior should disqualify my vote, but I'm sticking with it.I know that doesn't say much about the food and service, but if anyone wants to know about a business what I want to know about a business, which is to whom am I giving my patronage, then that is the purpose of my review. I don't buy even desirable products and services if they are from people or businesses who don't deserve my respect. So if you want to know what businesses deserve your support, take this into consideration. If you don't care then get your information from the reviews about the food, about which I have no opinion, except to say that it tastes like food.

Delicious Italian fare! The cheeseburger soup and meatball sub were excellent. Great service!

One of my favorite local Italian/sub spots. Amazing service and amazing subs everytime and blows away the boring, tasteless chain restaurants.

Pulled up at 3:30 while the owners were pulling out. You close at 4. Guess I won’t be trying this place

I used to work near here. Great pizza.

Went because of the high rating. Got 2 slices an when I bit into em was way to done almost burnt an had almost 0 sauce. I took it back in an told them. They said they would replace it. I asked if I could get more sauce on the pizza since there was barely any. This is what came back out. I should have just asked for s refund the first time but I trusted in google reviews way to much. Oh an the sauce is not very good that they do use. I threw it out waste of a few dollars.

I visited this establishment to find a sub that tasted like a sub from the north. I was pleasantly suprised with my sandwich which was the closest to an Italian hoagie from Philly.

The food is excellent. Love the Roma Original sin and the Calzone. Staff is very friendly.

Pretty much the best little pizza place in Cary right here. Have tried just about everything they offer and enjoyed every bite. Subs are amazing, too. Be sure to grab a couple of the traditional Italian sweets, too!

The food here is always very fresh. The employees seem very busy and happy. The meat is Boar's Head. All of the veggies are crisp and fresh. They have lunch specials and their own sub sauce. If you are looking for a sub in a clean environment, this is the place. I can not comment on their other Italian food because I have not tried it although I hear it is as good as the other food. Keep it up Roma's!

My Amtrak train had an extended layover in Cary, NC at 8:30amish and I was hungry. This place was a block away. Got a delicious cold Italian sub that did its job in taste and fulfillment.... I didn't eat again until about 6 that day.

The pork and chicken spiede are awesome. Boys love the pizza. Chocolate cookies are great. Love the deli sandwiches. Delicious bread.

I just ordered an entire pan of pizza for the family and friends, and it was absolutely out of this world good! By far the best pizza around. The lasagnas off the charts, and the sandwiches are phenomenal. Don't wait. Eat here!

Really enjoyed this place. Super friendly staff. Great food ( I recommend the Cary Combo.) Delicious bakery too. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area.

I have no idea how I never went to Roma's before. It smelled nostalgic (I'm from Syracuse) and the food was incredible. I'm already mentally planning on buying cookie trays for Christmas present.

Grab a quick, good, handmade sandwich on some really great bread here or have a slice or two of true sheet pan pizza that will make you want to take a whole one with you for later!!Nice selection of handmade Italian sweets also.All served up by friendly folks in a clean, relaxed spot.

Great, mom & pop pizza/deli!

The food is so delicious! Their marinara sauce is the best I've ever had! I've only had their calzone and their stromboli, both were AMAZING! I can't wait to try their pizza.

Roma's has been a favorite of mine and my family's for several years now. We call it the Train station Restaurant because they are literally right beside the station and tracks in downtown Cary. Kids love the pizza which they have a 2 slice special for every day. My favorite is the steak and cheese. Fresh baked bread and quality steak combined with your favorite ingredients makes it the best steak and cheese in town in my opinion. Plenty of other deli sandwich options made with boars head meat and their homemade chicken salad is perfection. Pick up a loaf of their home made Italian bread to take home with the chicken salad after a satisfying lunch and you will be sold on Roma's for good.

Met a friend there for lunch yesterday. As a vegan I was struggling with the menu a little. When I found out they did not serve what I thought they did for lunch I reviewed their lunch menu again. No problem for me. BUT they offered to accommodate my lunch request! I did not ask for special accommodations - they offered. I had a wonderful lunch!! Thanks again!!! This was customer service at a 5 star level!

Not Sicilian style pizza. It's like Chicago style deep dish. But not as good as real Chicago style. Quality is on par with Domino's deep dish.

Great location with friendly staff. We had the steak and cheese also the eggplant parmigiana sandwich. Fresh baked sweets and good sweet tea. The food is high quality I enjoy it every time I go. Thank you.

Great food, awesome staff! I loved the meatball sub!!! Also cheese pizza slices approved by my four year old. Parking is scarce but close.

Meh... Food is ok but not that spectacular, and it seems like they struggle to keep up at the lunch rush. Large space is mainly dedicated to their catering kitchen rather than walk-in customers. Small, crowded parking lot.

There's a couple of guys from work who's gonna here for years. We love a good value & good food. The pizza is upstate NY sheet pizza. I get white pizza special with speidie (which is a marinated chicken ) It a great lunch. Never go away hungry.

First and last experience here. Over priced and small portion. No sauce hardly and bread was undesirable. Cookies were dry and crumbly. Wouldn't reccomend at all.

Roma’s went above and beyond to prepare and serve a special order for us! My daughter has Celiac and they made her a delicious GF pizza! We enjoyed their eggplant, chicken parm, mac n cheese, salad and bread to celebrate my husband’s birthday 🎂! Thank you for making his day so enjoyable! Everything was delicious 😋!

I love this place. The food is absolutely delicious.

Pizza is very inconsistent. Sauce and cheese very sparse. Sheet pizza from the Endicott area typically has more sauce and cheese. Doesn't have to be "swimming" in sauce, but more than just painted on. Very little cheese on the last couple I bought there. Crust is always good....so just add more sauce and cheese and it'll be the best! Without Roma's....the only alternative is round NY style.

They have Spiedies!!! I mean that's five stars all in itself. The Pizza is amazing, just like you'd find in upstate, NY. My family is obsessed with this place. It's worth a visit.

Excellent food in a very casual environment...

Called to place an order for a pizza for pick up at 3:40 - the girl who answered the phone said they closed at 4 therefor could not take my pizza order because the pizza took 20 minutes to make... the pizza was for our anniversary dinner so I was a little disappointed. I told her it was poor business practices to be open, and deny someone service especially when it would be picked up at closing? Either way, a bummer especially in time like this where small business seem to be struggling due to the COVID 19 virus.

So excited I was able to find rainbow cookies here in NC! The family is so friendly, I will be making the trip feom Durham again!
